The Freshest thing out in 2017 Guaranteed!
A Solid Profound Album
This is Logic's latest masterpiece as he tries to spread love in an era where hate, racism and ignorance is dividing the world. It is a record that will humble you and remind you of what you are sent here to do.

Leave it to Logic to deliver the album, I’ve been waiting for a quarter century. I knew the message would have to come in a simple, mainstream friendly and consumable yet exploratory way. This is the album Tupac or Biggie would have eventually release with their wise minds observing how the world has progressed (or regressed) in recent years.

It’s about me being black and white, and seeing life from two sides. It’s about the cultural evolution and how you can go from the darkest of skin to the lightest of skin. -Logic on Harmontown podcast

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, no worries its not that you’ve been living under a rock, Logic although loved by radio hosts is not stuffed down your throat as much as Coldplay or Beyonce. He’s a clean cut rapper that stresses more over meaning and lyrical content than looks, much like his peers J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar.

Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

Just to give you a taste of what this album is all about:

What's Good
Lyrics carry this album through and through.
It has a story to tell and if you read between the lines a deep one.
Some tracks have solid beats and production like 'Deja Vu' and 'Immortal'
What's Happening?!
Some of the tracks are nothing new from what we've already heard from Cole
8.8
Not His Best, But Definitely Solid and Strong
Buy It, Love It
Buy 4 Your Eyez Only

J. Cole is back and with a solid album although not his finest, the impetuous flowing lyricist covers political, social, personal and philosophical issues within his life and those closest to him. As always solid lyrics and beats, but this album is different as shown by multiple fan theories, this album may not all be about him but in a way it is. Cole speaks from a first person view talking about typical life in his hometown slinging drugs on the street, mourning the senseless lost of life in useless violence. Although it may not be Cole’s point of view but of a friend’s. It also touches upon the manner of how society constraints people from the hood and blacks to selling dope, rapping or playing in the NBA. Kind of a set loop (if you catch the West World Reference) for all caught in that situation. But it also shows that if you leave the loop you can find an alternative narrative in which Cole finds himself from the one his friend found himself living. The strongest tracks and immediately spoke to me were ‘Immortal’, ‘Deja Vu’ and ‘She’s Mine Pt. 1’ & ‘She’s Mine Pt. 2.

If you remember previously J Cole’s tribute to Michael Brown “Be Free” this album feels like an expansion of that feeling and theme.

What I was surprised not to find were the two songs he released earlier ‘Everybody dies’ and ‘false prophets’ but no worries if you haven’t heard it yet two amazing songs  and the fresh videos by Scott Lazer check em out below:

BONOBO – BREAK APART FT. RHYE

Bonobo – ‘Break Apart’ featuring Rhye, is the second track from Bonobo’s new album ‘Migration’, to be released on January 13, 2017 under music label Ninja Tune.

Any one that knows me, knows that I love Rhye and when two super talented artists come together to create a solid track you know I gotta share it with everyone! I saw Rhye not too long ago here in Miami Beach at the Miami Beach Bandshell and what a revelation man! Milosh can sing till you lose your own voice trying to hit those high notes. The live band takes their music to a whole other world, very intimate and a perfect first date for anyone. Milosh makes it seem so easy, exactly as how you hear him on ‘Break Apart’ is how he sounds live, no autotune, no backing vocal tracks just straight up him a cappella on mic or no mic, will make your date weak at the knees. ‘Break Apart’ not only has a stunning track and vocals, but beautiful visuals as well, check out the video and let me know what you think!

BEYONCE – IRREPLACEABLE

Throwback Thursday always a good day to remember a solid single that dominated 2007, 10 Years ago on December 6, 2006 Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” takes the number one spot. Queen Bey’s fourth number one single in the U.S. at the time which also went on to become the best selling single of 2007!

I think the lyrics went something like….

To the left, to the left
To the left, to the left
All the singles, to the left.

Everything you recorded in the box to the left
In the number one spot that’s my stuff.
